Sailing

Wildlife cruises on Steingrímsfjord to view the ocean wildlife (birds, seals, whales and puffins) can be booked as well as scheduled guided trips to Grímsey-island. These trips begin on the 15th of June and commence until the middle of August if the weather stays fine.

Regular trips to Grímsey

Twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays, a boat with a guide sails to Grímsey at 2 pm. The tour takes approximately 4 hours.

Prices:

• Adults (12 years and older): 5000 IKR
• 6 to 12 years: 2500 IKR
• Younger than 6: No charge

Morning trips to Grímsey

On demand and weather permitting we can sail to Grímsey between 9am and noon with a 2 hour stop in the island and a cruise around it. These trips begin on the 15th of June and commence until the middle of August if the weather stays fine.

Wildlife cruises can be arranged by request. The trip will take you around Grímsey island and on a cruise around Steingrímsfjord you will enjoy the puffins and other species of birds, seals and whales that often are seen in the vicinity.
